Job Summary
HRLeverage Africa the pan African workforce management company is recruiting a skilled Heavy Equipment Electrician for a client operating in a fast-paced equipment rental environment. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing electrical systems of heavy-duty equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults on heavy equipment
* Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
* Ensure optimal performance and reliability of electrical systems
* Work collaboratively while adhering to safety standards
* Meet maintenance schedules and project deadlines
Requirements & Competencies
* Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
* Experience maintaining heavy equipment (dozers, excavators, wheel loaders, trucks)
* Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
* Experience with ECMs, sensors, solenoids, wiring harnesses, and control modules
* Proficiency with diagnostic tools and testing equipment
* Safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team* Construction or heavy equipment industry experience is an advantage
Qualifications
* Trade Test, OND, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering / Auto Electrical Technology
* OEM certifications (CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi) are an added advantage
