Role Summary

HRLeverage, the Pan-African Workforce Management company providing top-notch business solutions to SMEs and large organizations. We’re seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead the operations of our growing travel agency. The ideal candidate will oversee daily business activities, drive profitability, and ensure operational excellence across departments. This role requires a strong background in people management, accounting & finance, and operations, with the ability to align strategic goals to customer satisfaction and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality travel and customer experiences.
  • Oversee financial performance, budgeting, reporting, and cost control to maintain profitability.
  • Develop and implement business strategies, marketing plans, and operational policies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and key partners.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal operational standards.
  • Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement across service delivery.
  • Support recruitment, training, and performance management of team members.
  • Report directly to the Managing Director and provide regular business performance updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Tourism, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in management, preferably within travel, hospitality, or service-based industries.
  • Proven experience in financial management, business operations, and team leadership.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and relevant accounting or CRM tools.

Hybrid Work Requirements

  • Primarily office-based with flexibility for remote work as business operations allow.
  • Must be available for periodic client meetings, travel events, and strategy sessions.
