Job Title: Assistant Mechanical Engineer
Location: Ondo State
Experience: 3-5 years
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: N250,000 – N300,000 Net

JOB PURPOSE:
To support mechanical engineering operations, maintenance, and repair activities within the plantation and workshop, ensuring machinery, vehicles, and equipment are properly maintained, safe, and operational to support smooth plantation operations

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in planning, supervising, and executing maintenance of tractors, heavy machinery, vehicles, and workshop equipment
• Perform diagnostic checks and assist in troubleshooting mechanical faults
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance programs
• Prepare and maintain maintenance records, job cards, and equipment logs
• Ensure proper use of tools, spare parts, and workshop facilities
• Assist in supervising mechanics and technicians during maintenance activities
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Support procurement of spare parts and maintenance materials
• Prepare routine reports on equipment status, breakdowns, and maintenance activities
• Assist in implementation of engineering improvements and technical upgrades

ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• BSc / HND in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or related discipline
Professional Experience
• 3–5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, maintenance, or workshop operations
• Exposure to plantation, industrial, or heavy machinery operations is an advantage
Professional Certifications (Advantage)
• COREN registration or eligibility
• Equipment-specific maintenance certifications
