Architect (Construction and Real Estate Development company) – VI Lagos

Job Title: Architect
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Reports to: The Managing Director
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design Development: Create architectural concepts, schematic designs, and detailed drawings for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
• Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to building codes, regulatory requirements, safety regulations, and sustainability standards.
• Construction Support: Supervise site works to confirm adherence to approved architectural designs.
• Client Engagement: Interpret client requirements and translate them into functional, aesthetic, and cost-effective solutions.
• Innovation: Recommend modern, sustainable, and efficient building materials and technologies.
• Documentation: Prepare architectural drawings, specifications, BOQs, and reports.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor project execution to maintain design integrity and high-quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Professional Certification & License (Mandatory): Valid ARCON registration and license to practice as an Architect in Nigeria.
• Professional Certification (Desirable): International certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, and other architectural software.
• Creativity & Innovation: Ability to produce functional and aesthetic design concepts.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client and stakeholder engagement.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Adaptability: Must be willing to work in dynamic environments and meet demanding project timelines.
