About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our growing HR consulting firm. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate bookkeeping, and support management with timely financial reporting. This role is critical in maintaining financial integrity as we scale our HR services and consulting operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Reconcile bank statements, client accounts, vendor accounts, and general ledger entries.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
• Process vendor invoices, supplier payments, and staff reimbursements.
• Manage billing cycles, prepare client invoices, and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Track revenue recognition for consulting projects and HR services.
Payroll & Statutory Compliance
• Collaborate with HR to process monthly payroll and ensure timely submission of statutory deductions.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws, statutory filings, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and support audit documentation.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
• Maintain strong internal controls around financial transactions and recordkeeping.
• Recommend improvements to financial processes and accounting systems.
• Support implementation of financial policies and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA ,ICAN) is an added advantage.
• 2–5 years of experience in accounting; experience in consulting or service-based industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Sage, Xero) and MS Excel.
