Develop effective investment strategies and determine the best opportunities for managing clients’ (both retail, unit schemes, and institutional) portfolios with the aim of generating superior returns on investment.
Job Responsibilities
- Report to the Managing Director, and have primary responsibility for driving the strategic objectives of the organization in accordance with set policies and within the regulatory framework
- Develop, implement and monitor business strategies, roadmaps, organizational structure, policies.
- Instill the organizational culture, values, and behavior.
- Build and motivate high performance, innovative, and results-driven product development.
- Oversee the company’s product development and portfolio management activities.
- Prospect for new clients and manage existing relationships
- Meet with clients to determine their investment goals.
- Consult with and assist clients in developing tailor-made portfolios to meet their investment objectives
- Provide advice and guidance to clients on best investment opportunities and strategies
- Monitor client investments and maintain proper records of all portfolio activities
- Keep clients up to date on the state of their portfolios, market conditions, and economic trends
- Create reports on investment performance and activities
- Apply knowledge of the market and economic trends to clients’ portfolios, suggesting changes or adjustments accordingly
- Determine acceptable risk levels for clients based on time frames, risk preferences, return expectations, and market conditions
- Work together with investment research teams to identify investment opportunities
- Coordinate/attend investment committee meetings
- Ensure Company compliance with all relevant investment & financial regulations
- Prepare and deliver presentations on the subject matter of concern e.g. client portfolios, market, and economic trends, etc.
- Stay up to date with relevant investment and trading news, and economic trends.
Job Requirements
- BSc with excellent academic credentials.
- Must be a current Sponsored Individual with the Securities and Exchange Commission Nigeria
- Minimum of 5 years of business experience with active participation in the financial markets.
- An excellent business development, strategic planning, and execution skills.
- Must be a team player, possessing good communication and motivating skills.
- Must have a good understanding of the dynamics of Investments and Risk Management.
- Proficient in various financial management software, such as Simplex, Symplus, Bloomberg Terminal, etc.
- Must have a good understanding of the dynamics of Investments and Risk Management.
- A person of high integrity.
- Excellent Written and Communication Skills.
- Working knowledge of Primary and Secondary Market activities.
- Good excel and PowerPoint presentation skills
