As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a detail-oriented and highly disciplined Junior Finance Officer to support our finance operations and ensure accurate financial record-keeping in a regulated environment.

Role Summary
The Junior Finance Officer will provide day-to-day operational support to the Finance team by assisting with reconciliations, invoicing, financial reporting, and record management. This role is ideal for an early-career finance professional looking to build strong foundational experience within a fintech and agency banking ecosystem.

The role requires strong attention to detail, basic financial analysis skills, integrity, and a willingness to learn and grow within a structured finance function.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Reconciliation
Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly bank and wallet reconciliations, including agent settlement accounts and operational accounts.
Support the identification and resolution of reconciliation variances and discrepancies.
Maintain reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation.

Invoicing & Documentation
Prepare, track, and properly file invoices for vendors, partners, and internal transactions.
Support accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up.
Maintain an organized and audit-ready filing system (digital and physical).

Financial Reporting Support
Assist in the preparation of management accounts and periodic financial reports.
Support data collation for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews.
Provide basic financial analysis and summaries to support decision-making.

Record Keeping & Data Management
Maintain accurate financial records in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Perform finance-related data entry with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and documentation standards.

General Finance Support
Assist with ad-hoc finance tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager or Head of Finance.
Support audit preparation by providing the requested schedules and documentation.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams (Operations, Compliance, Admin) to resolve finance-related queries.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
0–2 years relevant experience in a finance, accounting, or audit role (fintech, banking, or agency banking experience is an advantage).
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
NYSC completion or exemption is required.

High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity.
Good organizational and documentation skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Preferred Attributes
Exposure to fintech, agency banking, or financial services operations.
Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems (advantageous).
Professional certification (ATS, ICAN-in-view, ACCA-in-view) is an added advantage.
