LINE MANAGER: GROUP HEAD HR
Purpose Statement
To transform, develop and manage a company-wide and consistent HR operational service that is commercially focused, value-adding and efficient. This is a key role within the HR function and the individual will need to be comfortable partnering with line managers to enable Sahara Group achieve her strategic objectives.
Key Deliverables
Manage a team that will provide HR operational service and co-ordination. Be responsible for setting team and
individual objectives and driving optimal performance.
Establish customer focused SLA’s and KPI’s for the HR Operations team. Develop and maintain strong relationships with Business heads and Line Managers to ensure a proactive, efficient and fit-for-purpose service is maintained for the business.
Review and maintain all existing policies, procedures and employment contract arrangements and update where
appropriate to reflect Company values and strategy as well as legislative changes.
Develop new policies and procedures where required.
Acts as project lead to review all current systems infrastructure and identify and implement a new HR system for the entire organization across all locations. Undertake a complete review of all employee data to ensure 100% accuracy and compliance with external legal requirements and internal guidelines.
Project manage a company-wide process re-engineering review of all HR processes to ensure they are commercially focused, efficient and add value with the aim to:
Maximize electronic work-flow opportunities within all processes
Eliminate those not adding value, develop new processes.
Develop and manages all communications material for key HR initiatives, e.g. employee engagement survey, new
and updated policy and procedures and process etc.
Responsible for managing the process and implementation of the annual employee engagement survey with
particular focus on developing the hierarchy structure, full reporting, survey monkey and all follow-up processes such as feedback sessions.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Group Head HR
Knowledge/Skills:
Good understanding of employee/industrial relations, as well as an appreciation of dynamics of the Labor and
employment legislations in countries where the Group has presence.
Good understanding of HR indices and their impact on the Business
Good understanding of trends, challenges, regulations and legislations relating to our core businesses and locations.
Strong strategic planning execution skills.
Deep appreciation of local and global industry resource management best practices.
Good understanding of employee/industrial relations, as well as an appreciation of dynamics of the Labour and
employment legislations in countries where the Group has presence.
Good understanding of HR indices and their impact on the Business
Good knowledge of relevant application to support HR operations.
Good understanding of trends, challenges, regulations and legislations relating to our core businesses and locations.

Ability to manage multiple priorities
Minimum Qualification / Experience
BA degree in Business Administration or related field.
Minimum of 8-10 years of cognate experience in a Human Resources Generalist role.
Working knowledge of MS Office and HRIS database.
HR Professional Qualification is a must.
Experience of managing successful HR systems implementation.
Experience of managing significant HR projects from design to implementation.
Experience of developing and implementing service measurements such as SLA’s and KPI’s.
Ability to develop processes, policies, procedures and systems into value-add commercially focused solutions for the organisation.
Ability to analyse data/information and interpret it into recommendations
