HRLeverage Africa Ltd is a consulting firm with operations in Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Nairobi and other parts of Africa . We are currently hiring for our client, a Pan African Agricultural Firm with Operation in Sub-Sahara Africa. Our client needs to fill the position of a “Group CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER”. The ideal candidate is expected to provide leadership, direction and management of the Operational Business Functions of the Group of companies.
Job Responsibilities
- Smooth and efficient operations across the various entities in the group.
- Working closely with the GCFO to formulate and implement budgeting and financial planning.
- Working with the GCFO to develop a financial reporting system for all group entities.
- Operational responsibility for revenue generation across all entities in the group.
- Develop strategies and policies to optimize short, medium and long-term cash flows.
- Analyze optimal business development opportunities in the various sectors and countries we operate in and advise the Board.
- Supervise all operational activities of the group.
- Promote the company brand in the countries and sectors we operate in.
- Implement an efficient dynamic and effective transfer pricing mechanism to optimize group synergies.
- Ensure compliance with the laws and company policies
Job Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven track record as a COO or senior operations executive in a similar industry Agri-Finance or Banking – preferably in a multinational or international finance organization, consulting role, trading and manufacturing conglomerates.
- Experience working with multilateral funding agencies like AfDB, IFC and multinational foundations.
- Thorough understanding of the Value Chain management and optimization across various industry sectors.

Practical knowledge of the various sector specific intervention schemes

Experience with corporate governance
- Professional Requirements
- Qualification • A good first degree in any discipline. Relevant Masters’ degree will be an advantage.
- Minimum Experience: • Minimum of 15 years business operations experience in the organized private sector with at least 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership position. Experience in a similar function in a multinational bank or a major consulting firm would be an advantage.
- Professional Membership • PMP, Six Sigma, Scrum Master, CSCP and similar.
