This Client needs a hard-working and efficient Commis chef to prepare meal ingredients for the Chef in-charge and assist with various kitchen duties.
Responsibilities
- Accurately measuring meal ingredients for the Chef-in-charge
- Receive deliveries and verify that all ordered items have been delivered in good quality.
- Taking of inventory of restaurant supplies and notifying the supervisor of low or finished.
- Plating and presenting meal items according to the Chef-in-charge’s instructions
- Discarding all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators and freezers.
Requirements.
- Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations
- Proven commercial kitchen experience
- A degree, diploma, or certification in culinary arts
