Job Summary:
HRLeverage a Pan-African workforce management company which has presence in 8 different African countries, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our client who is a fast-growing freight forwarding company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and business development within the logistics and freight industry, with strong client relationship skills and deep market insight.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities across air, sea, and road freight services to meet assigned organizational goals.

Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders

Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and tailored logistics solutions to clients

Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure excellent client onboarding and satisfaction

Monitor market trends to stay updated in order to drive business growth and success.

Effectively manage sales team to drive performance.

Maintain a robust sales pipeline and CRM records

Requirements:
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in business development/sales within the freight forwarding/logistics industry

Strong understanding of international freight processes and Incoterms

Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills

Proven ability to develop and close high-value deals

Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently

Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferable.
