Job Title: Assistant Plantation Manager

Salary: N450,000 – N500,000 Net

JOB PURPOSE:
The role is responsible for daily field supervision, labour control, quality assurance, accurate reporting, and implementation of management directives, while providing operational leadership to supervisors and workers to achieve optimal production, cost control, and sustainable plantation performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Be present at muster in the morning.
• Be fully responsible for all activities performed in his division.
• Be responsible for all agricultural undertakings and technical aspects of the division.
• Attend muster daily and control the swift and orderly deployment of workers to their place of work.
• Forward daily to his superior the completed muster sheet.
• Visit daily with samples (maintenance and production) to control the activities of the workers and the quality of work achieved and ensure that recommended technical procedures are adhered to.
• Always be present at the start of any new operation to ensure its satisfactory implementation.
• Be responsible for the accurate recording of all technical, administrative and labour data in his division for onwards transmission to the plantation manager or site manager.
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly progress report draft.
• Hold a daily meeting with the divisional supervisors to discuss the day’s activity and prepare the following day’s work program.
• Forward daily the daily report and other relevant material to the Senior plantation manager.

ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of HND or Bachelor’s Degree in:
• Agriculture
• Agronomy
• Crop Science
• Agricultural Management
• Agricultural Engineering
• Or any related agricultural discipline
A Master’s degree in Agriculture or Management will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 5–7 years cognate experience in plantation, estate, or large-scale agricultural operations.
