Position Summary
The Sales Executive will be responsible for actively identifying, engaging, and converting prospective customers to drive revenue growth for the company’s freight forwarding and logistics services. This role focuses on achieving sales targets, securing profitable business deals, and managing key client accounts to ensure long-term customer satisfaction and retention. The ideal candidate will have strong industry knowledge, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to deliver tailored logistics solutions to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Growth & Market Development
-Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the freight forwarding and logistics market to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
– Conduct market research to identify potential clients, new business opportunities, and competitive trends.
– Stay informed on industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices to effectively advise clients.
2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
– Actively prospect, engage, and convert new customers through networking, referrals, and direct outreach.
– Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and customized logistics solutions.
– Manage key accounts and conduct regular client visits to understand ongoing needs and ensure service satisfaction.
3. Sales Execution & Revenue Generation
– Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and proposals that clearly communicate the company’s capabilities and value proposition.
– Negotiate contract terms and close profitable sales deals in collaboration with internal operations teams.
– Conduct post-sale follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction, encourage repeat business, and obtain referrals.
4. Marketing Collaboration & Brand Representation
– Work closely with the marketing team to support sales campaigns, promotional initiatives, and lead-generation activities.
– Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility.
5. Reporting, CRM & Internal Coordination
– Utilize CRM systems to manage the sales pipeline, document client interactions, and prepare sales performance reports for management review.
– Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of agreed services.
– Proactively address and resolve client issues in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience:
– Minimum of 3–5 years’ proven sales experience in the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
– Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Key Competencies:
– Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
– Ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively.
– Results-driven with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Working Conditions
– Primarily office-based with frequent travel to client sites and industry events.
– Extended or flexible working hours may be required to meet sales targets and client needs.
Compensation
