Job Summary
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, expanding the company’s client base, and increasing revenue across the travel and cargo divisions. This role requires a proactive, results-oriented individual with strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in both travel and cargo sectors.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company growth targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, logistics partners, and airlines.
Promote company services including air ticketing, freight forwarding, courier logistics, and travel packages.
Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive activities.
Prepare and deliver business proposals, presentations, and sales reports.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality customer service and operational excellence.
Manage customer accounts, follow up on leads, and ensure timely payment collection.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
Provide feedback and insights to management to refine products and marketing strategies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or related field.
Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in business development, sales, or client management (preferably within travel, logistics, or cargo sectors).
Strong understanding of travel operations, freight forwarding, and logistics services.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)
Experience with IATA processes, air cargo operations, or shipping documentation.
Familiarity with GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo)
Existing network of corporate clients or logistics partners.
Experience handling and processing travel-related documentation
